With the objective of providing commercial representation to the Oil Industry, Brastech was founded in 1972. The representation involved the commercialisation of products and services for offshore drilling and production tailored for Petrobras and other companies.

Commercial activities were resumed in Macaé in 1996, to provide Riser Float Overhauling services, pioneered by Brastech.

In 1998 Brastech entered the Naval segment, with the objective of developing, manufacturing and commercialising dedicated equipment and vessels for salvage, military applications as well as oil spill prevention and response.

Throughout its history the company has manufactured products and rendered services based on a quality policy that includes improvement of internal processes as well as striving to promote client satisfaction.

The company develops processes based on in house technology as well as equivalent technology existing in the international market, using high quality raw-materials, enabling the construction of high performance products, manufactured under strict quality control, to ensure a high degree of reliability and safety.

With a highly entrepreneurial culture and in-depth and real knowledge on the needs of our clients, the company is ready to serve the Offshore and Salvage markets.

Brastech has become a quality reference and standard for the manufacturing of Rescue Boats, Workboats as well as Life Rafts. All of them approved by the DPC (Diretoria de Portos e Costas – Directorate of Ports and Coasts) and in compliance with SOLAS/IMO and NORMAN/05 standards.
